Open Ritual Planning Format

The following is the open ritual planning format used by The New Moon Covenant.

It is a recommended guide but can be adapted for personal use.

A presiding Priest or Priestess is only required for rituals sponsored by or presented by The New Moon Covenant.

Open Ritual Planning Format 

An open ritual is a ritual that is open to participants outside of a particular group or coven. The ritual may be open to a specific group of people or it may be open to the public. The following is a generic planning format for open rituals. 

Ritual Titles 

Participant - any persons who are in attendance of the ritual

Guest - a visitor who is not invested in or affiliated with The New Moon Covenant

Fellowship - any and all members of The New Moon Covenant

Steward - a ritual helper, which can be guests, who works under direction from the Reigning Official

Sentinel- a security official who preserves the sanctity of the circle and protects those within it

Master Sentinel- serves as head of security

Support Official - a person or persons, which can be guests, who co-conducts the ritual under direction from the Reigning Official

Reigning Official - the lead person, which can be a guest, who conducts the ritual

Author - the person or persons, which can be guests, who write the ritual

Presiding Priest(ess) - a New Moon Covenant priest(ess) who attends the ritual to ensure favorable representation for any ritual that is promoted by or sponsored by The New Moon Covenant. A presiding priest(ess) is only assigned to rituals associated with The New Moon Covenant and will oversee each stage of the process including the ritual itself.
