Samhain 2024
As Samhain approaches, the community comes together to honor the legacy of our ancestors. This sacred time invites reflection on those who came before us, celebrating their lives and the wisdom they imparted. Gather with friends and family to share stories, light candles, and create altars adorned with mementos that honor this connection. Join us in rituals that bridge the past and present, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude. Experience the warmth of community as we remember, honor, and celebrate the spirits guiding our journey.
Who: The Grand Valley Community
What: Samhain, Halloween, All Hallows Eve
Where: Long Family Memorial Park in the Mt Garfield Pavilion
When: October 31st 6-9 PM
Why: To honor those who came before us, whose wisdom still guides us today, and to connect to our local community as we look to the future.
How Much $: The event is FREE,
Suggested DONATIONS $10-20
Any DONATIONS will come directly back to the community as we would like to begin planning for YULE, inside where we can be warm in the dead of winter. The donation amount will be posted after the event and we welcome suggestions and feedback to make the next time even better. Any EXCESS IN DONATIONS will go towards making Yule more fun with music, decorations, catering, and maybe even witchy gifts. The larger our community grows, the more you can help to guide us in the ways that we can make these celebrations even more celebratory.
I want to express my gratitude for our sponsor, Mr. Wyatt Sears, owner/operator of From the Ground Up Construction and Maintenance. He is a local handyman with the mission of building a better tomorrow, and he can handle just about everything from repairs to remodels. No job is too big or too small. So if you’re ready to upgrade your space, give him a call for a free estimate. Without his generosity, this ritual would not have come into being.
